Let's talk goal setting.
We’ve all set goals right? We’ve all written them down and chances are most of them haven’t be achieved.

We are here to show you exactly how to start ticking those goals off!
 Introducing the SMART formula...

Specific.
Measurable.
Attainable.
Relevant.
Time Bound.

Set Specific Goals
Your goal must be clear and easy to understand. Vague or generalised goals are hard to stick to because they don't provide enough direction.
Goals are there to show you the way. Make it as easy as you can to get where you want to be by defining exactly where you want to end up.

Set Measurable Goals
Include exact amounts, dates, and so on in your goals so you can measure your degree of success. If your goal is simply defined as "To save money" how will you know when you have been successful?  Instead try writing something like “I am going to save $500 in the next three months”. Without a way to measure your success you miss out on the celebration that comes with knowing you have actually achieved something.

Set Attainable Goals
Make sure that it's possible to achieve the goals you set. If you set a goal that is unrealistic, you will only demoralise yourself and destroy your confidence.

Set Relevant Goals
Goals should be relevant to the direction you want your life and career to take. By keeping goals aligned with this, you'll develop the focus you need to get ahead and do what you want. If you set inconsistent and broad goals, you’ll struggle to achieve them.

Set Time-Bound Goals
Your goals must have a deadline. This means that you know when you can celebrate success. When you are working to a deadline, your sense of urgency increases and achievement will come that much quicker.

Next you want to make an action plan.  The action plan is all the steps required to reach your goal.  Break them down into small, achievable ones - Steps that you will be able to check off along the way as you complete them.

Last but not least -  stick to your plan! Visit it daily. Read over them.  The more you become familiar with your goals and steps the easier they are to complete.

We challenge you to commit to a goal action plan using our free printable which you can access in our VIP group ‘Plan with Bullet Planner – VIP group’.  We would love to hear about your journey and together we can help each other stay accountable.

Share your progress with the group and help give some inspiration to others!
